Saturday:
I just had wake up at noon.
I just had to browse through some old newspapers.
I just had to notice, at exactly 1:30 PM, an ad for the MTV What.ever Things extravaganza, which happened to be scheduled at 3 PM that day... An extravaganza, I might add, headlined by none other than PEDI.CAB and the irrepressible AI.YA GANG!!!
I just had to shake everything off and drag my mom over to Shangri-la, no matter how late we got going.
I just had to watch Pot.sy and M.in breakdancing backstage. But I was desperately hoping that Ed.ison Ch.en or Jos.h L.ee would show up. *haha*
I just had to get there in time to see Pedi.cab (with incomplete costumes, tsk tsk! hehe!) perform "Dito Ta.yo sa Di.lim!!!" *laughs, cries, dies*
I just had to forget about my dignity and run to the middle of the tiny crowd, bobbing and singing along *all by my beautiful self.* Taking pictures all the while, too. *wink*
I just had to enjoy Pedi.cab LIVE! (See for yourself and watch when MTV airs this event...try to look for me. HAHAHA!)
I just had to be all G.O.F when Die.go Ma.pa finally emerged from backstage (looking so geekily cute in his collared shirt, hahaha.) and glanced at me when he passed by. Flustered, I looked away quickly, trying to control the frantic urge to go to him and take our picture. (I'm egocentrically extrapolating that he recognized me as the crazy fangirl singing along in the crowd while madly snapping lots of pictures. )
I just had to grab his arm with my cold fingers as he passed by once again. *smacks forehead in embarrassment*
I just had to repeat the lines I said a few months ago when I asked him if it was okay to have my picture taken with him. The exact same lines...not that he remembers, of course. (I'm not that egocentric.)
I just had to melt when he kindly agreed, charmingly smiled (*dies*), and graciously thanked me and my mom for taking the picture. Meanwhile, my mom was also charmed by his cuteness..haha! She approves!
I just had to get all giddy after that, not caring about all the dozens of people who witnesed my fangirlness.
And I just had to look away after that.

(But I was still happy.)

_fiercely free Thank You!!!
Thank you to everyone who made my birthday yesterday special! I was so overwhelmed by the text greetings, it didn't matter that I didn't get to see you all on my birthday. I felt your presence with me. *ooh cheese* Hehe..sorry walang pakain or anything like that. ;(
And to those who continued the celebration today...thank you! To the Amigas, thanks for the cake! Mara, thanks for the earrings! To Pau and Ted, I shall take care of Cedric Kuneho, ang pinakamakulit na kuneho sa buong mundo!
Love, 19-year-old Bernice (woohoo...I feel so old. ;j)
_fiercely free You, behind the shot.
Type kita.
Hahahaha...This is just like a detergent commercial. It could be anyone. It could be: Brand A, Brand B, Brand C, or even... Brand X! *wink wink*
This is so funny. Harhar!
_fiercely free You work well with people because you know how to use persuasion rather than force.
There is a strong spiritual side to your nature, and you may have intuitive qualities inherent in your make up, too.
You are very aware and sensitive, though often temperamental.
Although you have a good mind and you are very analytical, you may not be comfortable in the business world.
You are definitely creative and this influence tends to make you more of a dreamer than a doer. Oh, happy. I got a greeting from at least one person for every aspect of my life: family members, old friends, blockmates, org mates, ochouno classmates, and other friends. Thank you...a simple text message can mean so much. Those greetings made my day. *insert contented smile here*
A shopping trip that yielded new footwear, clothes, and the book I've been wanting to have for so long also helped. Hehe. ;j *insert giddy girly giggle here*
+ Thank you for all the blessings, Lord. And for another year in my life. Help me make it count, Lord. Thank you for everything. Thank you so much! Amen. +
_fiercely free I guess I don't need to say how much fun I had, given that I always have fun at these things. If you still don't get it, let me repeat: I LOVE FILMS. Watching them? Definitely! But I do love films. So it's understandable that my feelings get hurt by comments like, "Nagtataka nga ako kung bakit ka nandun sa shooting," and "Kaya ka lang yata nago-org..."
Honestly, I don't know which one of those two terrible remarks was worse.
But they were both uncalled for. And they both stung. And no matter how much I joke around all the time, I still don't deserve such comments. Any decent film-lover would back me up on this one. As would any intelligent human being.
I may not be an expert filmmaker, but I'm quite sure that your video camera doesn't have any bullets. So could you please point that damn thing to whatever it is you're supposed to be shooting? Stop shooting me.

_fiercely free Theology 121 Quiz. Question: "What did Jesus say to His apostles in the last part of the Gospel of Matthew in order to reassure them?"
The answer: "I am always with you."
MY ANSWER: "Don't worry, I am not dead. I have just resurrected!"
Yet another reason to be punished for my sins. Thank God I didn't write it down.
Sorry, Lord. I'm not making fun of the Scriptures. I just want to share my stupidity with others and let them learn from it. Please forgive me, and please be with me as I take more of R.osar's quizzes in the future.
_fiercely free "Happy-tired," with emphasis on the TIRED. I am just sooo tired. Really, really tired. (You get the picture.) Not to mention guilty for skipping Mass and going out with my blockmates instead. *Grabe ang sama ko kay God at kay Mama Mary.* I'm so sorry, Lord. Please forgive me.
After just one class, we had the whole day off because of free cuts, so Cat, Les, Tin, Gali, Ben, JC, and I hied off to Met.ro.walk to go DVD-hunting. We were supposed to go to Galleria for lunch, but yes...the MMDA just had to spot our overloaded vehicle, not to mention our lack of seatbelts. Tsk tsk tsk. It took a fair amount of pleading, arguing, cajoling, lying, and a bit of crying to get away with a warning. But of course, nobody was saved from the reality of "lagay." Tsk tsk tsk. Bad trip - literally.
We scrapped the Galleria idea and instead headed to Eastwood. Guess where we ended up? The one place that I always go to when I'm in Eastwood: Faz.oli's. Haha...what is it with that place and "impromptu gimmicks?"
Good thing that place served a lot of free bread, because we stayed a looong time, just talking and talking and talking...to no avail. (HAHAHA...*wink wink*) Let me just say, nakaka-frustrate kausapin ang mga A2 boys. Hindi natitinag. Hindi bumibigay. I have to admit: I admire their resolute silence in the name of privacy, as well as their loyalty to one another.
Whew..in the past two weeks, I've gotten two people to break down and confess about their own convoluted love lives. It's so easy to see through the thin veil that people use to hind behind their "love" for others. But I have yet to break my blockmates. Hahaha..don't worry, it's not a "collection," as Gali put it. Hindi ako sadista! I just want to help love-clouded people with logic and reason, that's all.
Harhar.. In the end, we all ended up with major headaches. Pinasakit lang namin ang mga ulo ng isa't-isa. My head - it hurts!
Whoo.. you'd think I had enough adventure for one day, but nooo...Anino's first shooting day was all planned and waiting for me back at school. And yes, I HAD A GREAT TIME, as always with these shootings. Hahaha...heto na naman ako. Sorry. Slightly giddy over the prospect of making this film, as well as the company (our talented cast and crew and friends!).
Thanks to Mellow (great director), Francis (patient cinematographer, and the best "extra" ad-lib ever! Hahaha!), Reggie (best actress), JV (patient stalker), and all the extras and friends who came (Be, Bogs, Dappy, Luigi, Reggie's friend and boyfriend, Myn, Bono)! Wow...can you tell that I'm all excited and giddy? (Oops. I'm supposed to be drained. Haha.)
Ayun. It was a fun day...but right now, everything's going down the drain, and fast.

_fiercely free Kinda contradicting, aren't they? Maybe that's why I'm going crazy. Hahaha. Here's another look at the pink and gray glop inside my head:

_fiercely free But now, all I see, when they think nobody's looking, is obsession.
It's dark and disturbing. And it's really scaring me...almost as much as the fact that nobody else is noticing that something is very, very wrong.
What should I do?
My Muffliato:
_fiercely free 1. We couldn't help staring at a perfect little scenario happening at a table near us. Two high school girls and two high school boys double-dating in Starbucks. The girls were both cute-pretty-fresh, while the guys were squeaky clean and characteristically styled for a first date. We first described the scene as "typical," but then I think we somehow realized that hey, that never happened to us...how could it be typical? (Or maybe it just never happened to me. Aww. Hehe.) We then agreed on "perfect" as an adjective, but the best way to describe the scene was that it was "so high school," but in the most perfect way. I couldn't keep my eyes off of them...because for me, that's the way high school life should be. I mean, it's the kind of thing you're supposed to have in high school...the wide-eyed cute kilig with fresh flowers in your hair kind of life. Sigh. Let me just say, they better enjoy those moments. Baka mamaya when they're in college, they'll be watching fresh young couples and making snide, bitter comments while remembering the time when they, too, were carefree-happy.
2. We LOVE our guy blockmates. We really do. I won't go over the top-secret details (hehe), but the verdict is that Gali, Scott, Ben, and JC are the greatest guys ever!
3. Reminiscing about the Orsem a year ago: "Look at things now..." Harhar. Oo nga naman.
4. According to Ted, the Amigas and I look really young and small when we're all together. Hah.
5. Bitin ang kopi deyt natin.
Ngark. I had a GA to rush to, while Mara had training. Juan left as soon as he came, and Kamyl had to leave early, too. Sab had an IAC game, and I don't know if Lesley ever made it to Starbucks after her meeting. Pau and Ted, being the Starbucks addicts that they are, stayed (I think). BITIN talaga!
My Muffliato:
_fiercely free I still love Hale.
They played a rockin' good show tonight! Really. I'm not just saying that because of Ch.amp. I thought they were more energetic and enthusiastic than usual, which was great, considering the lukewarm response of the "rich and beautiful" crowd at Ro.ckwell. AC, Gino, Be, and I were just about the only ones on our feet, eagerly grooving and singing along (apart from the exaggerated catcalls and fanshrieks of my brother and the MISA people, of course.) At one point, Ch.amp pointed at our little group and asked us to sing along. *insert kilig here* Hehe...I guess it was obvious that we had memorized the whole album, and we were bold enough to admit it by singing along. ;j
And of course, I can't let this post go by without mentioning JOKETIME!!! Topbilled among the other bands, they had access to the "band room," free food, and of course, the rock stars. Hehehe. (By the way, their all-access id cards were, well, amusing. The power of love nga naman...hehe.) Bottomline: they played a good set, which included their first original song. Yehey!!! *clap clap clap* Galing galing! Mia, Enya, Pola, Kri, Aurea, and I were so happy to be there for you guys!
Everyone had to leave after H.ale's performance, so I was "stuck" in the band room with my brother and everyone else, including Ha.le themselves. Whoopee? More like, wheee.
Hey, it wasn't the fantasy that you'd think it was. Yeah...I've been looking forward to this event for months, but when it finally came...Pffft. To put it really crudely, it was like a really really really shiny and colorful balloon that has been gathering air, getting inflated, and being prepared all this time. This balloon was at its biggest and brightest when Ha.le was onstage, and yeah, I have to admit it swelled a little bit more when they entered the band room while I was there. Everything was supposed to be happy and shiny, the balloon was mine, all mine, then
PFFFFFFFFT. Poof. Wala rin. No big shiny balloon to play with. I wouldn't get that perfect day for frolicking as I feel the grass beneath my feet and the wind bobbing the balloon against my hair. No colorful swirls to behold as I run and finally, let go of it into the air, watching as it gets smaller and smaller, until it is just a black dot in the big blue sky. Until it disappears from sight altogether.
I mean, it wasn't like the balloon popped or anything like that. It was more like it didn't even reach its potential of "balloonness." Whooohoo...to anybody reading this, I know that I'm not making any sense. Basta. Ganun 'yung na-feel ko eh. Wala kang magagawa.
I have so many reasons to be happy, but somehow my mind lingers on negativity.
But hey, on a day that I watched a band that I turn to goo for, I can still stay that the best parts were when I was with my A2 Amigas in Starbucks, and of course, Tianx in Rockwell. That's saying something.
